Find your lost super

What is lost super?

Your superannuation account is generally considered lost if

  • you are, or were, a member of an employer plan and your employer sponsered account has not received a contribution in two years
  • your super fund has on two occassions received unopened return mail that was directed to you.

If over the years you have changed jobs, address or your name you may have lost or unclaimed super.

How to find your lost super

The Australian Tax office provides a tool, SuperSeeker, to help you look for your lost and unclaimed super and provide you with a list of possible matches.

SuperSeeker can also help you lodge a request with your fund online if you wish to transfer your lost super to another super account.

It is free to use. The online and phone services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
